Malaria parasites are regulated through combinatorial histone codes!

Gotta run, but leaving this here so I remember to spend more time on it later

Malaria is INFURIATING to work with. The published genomes are obviously crappy and haven't been improved much in a dozen years. The stupid thing has a huge protein that class switches almost as fast and with as much frequency as human antibodies AND the parasites are low in abundance AND the parasite has a 415 stage lifecycle with different things happening all the time.

How does something with only slightly more genes than E.coli do all of this stuff??? Looks like through a dynamic and combinatorial histone code!!
