Who is tired of being told in 2020 that mass spectrometry is too slow and isn't sensitive enough? I've got a shiny new qPCR to play with and I think we've been lied to for 15 years or so. You need a LOT of copy numbers to see stuff...and...yo, that's not how we're told it works!
